British Issue Housewife Roll

Housewife or hussif rolls and were used to hold a sewing kit, razor & blades, button stick and KFS (knife, fork & spoon). The sewing kit lived in the pocket and the other bits lived in the cotton loops.

Ideal as spanner roll as well as other small tools.

Made from unbleached cotton some are dated (1945) but most are not.

They measure 17” x 8 ¾” (43 x 22 cm) and are in unused condition.
